Dear Michael: I would like to ask your opinion. I would like to see if you can give me your opinion on men and women instigating sex. Do you think that it is solely the man's responsibility or should the woman instigate as well. My wife and I have been married for 11 years. God created sex as a beautiful and wonderful thing and then we abused it and therefore some people (the "Church") began calling it dirty and shameful and only meant for procreation. Fortunately many people (Christians and others) don't have that ignorant viewpoint. But the baggage is still there and even today many women feel that it is unbecoming of them if they like or desire sex. Maybe you and your wife need to come up with a "signal" for her if she is feely a bit sexy. She can wear a special outfit to bed, or light some candles or give an obvious clue that she is in the mood and you can still be the "instigator" if she cant get over that shyness. Another thing to consider is that she may never be in the mood due to low hormones. It doenst mean she wont enjoy the act, but she isnt going to be the one who will have the desire to start it. - Michael
