Dear Michael -

My uterus (or pelvis, I can't remember which one the doctor said.) is tilted and I have a problem with pushing him out while I am having an orgasm. Sometimes it seems like he is longer and larger than at others is this possible?

Sandy

Dear Sandy  -

There is both a tilted pelvis and a tilted uterus - also referred to as a tipped uterus or retroversion of the uterus.  My guess is that you have the tilted uterus as that is probably a more painful/uncomfortable condition when it comes to intercourse as the head of the penis can hit your uterine wall and other insides.

Some doctors recommend lying on your back with your knees to your chest to help reposition it.  If that does not help, some will recommend surgery.

You can also experiment with various positions so that thrusting isnt so deep.

If it is really a tilted pelvis then you might want to visit a chiropractor who can possibly help you get it in the right position.

Maybe some of my readers will have had experience with this and will share.

Reader's responses:

I have the same problem as Sandy. My uterus is tilted and has led to some very painful intercourse in the past. My partner's penis is of average size but in certain positions, the head of his penis hits my cervix. There have been times after this happens where I am near paralyzed with pain for over half an hour after intercourse. We have found that moving our position so that he doesn't go as deep helps with any uncomfortable hitting.

As for her problem with pushing him out, her vaginal (kegal) muscles are probably very strong and when she orgasms, those muscles contract and force him out, especially if he is somewhat soft. I think that to help with this, if she warns him right before she orgasms, he could push harder into her or pull her hips up to him.

Hope that helps!
