Dear Lovemaking Answers -

I have always been overweight until recently when I had a gastric bypass. This has changed my life dramatically and I have been experiencing differences in the way my husband and I make love. I have several questions.

Does the fact that before I used to weigh 360 lbs. change the way we make love? I mean I dont think I ever had an orgasm before I know I would fake it to please him, but now that I've lost weight I have experienced a couple of orgasms and it is nothing that I have ever felt before.

Also, when I supposedly have an orgasm, to me it feels like I pee. There's always a lot of liquid (like pee) that comes out of me. Is that normal. Is that supposed to happen? Every time we make love I wet the bed and we have to clean our selfs off with a towel or take a shower.

For him, he thinks it gets wet because I've had an orgasm and when I don't wet he thinks I don't have an orgasms. So I am totally confused

Please help me.......

I'm --- Overweight No More

Dear Overweight No More -

Congratulations on your recent weight loss and orgasms, it's obviously increased your enjoyment with your husband. Although we women can get very wet during foreplay and intercourse, I'm not sure if the liquid that you're worried about is vaginal wetness or possibly some urine.

It doesn't sound like your husband is bothered by it, except when it's not as wet, but this may be something that you'd like to discuss with your gyn doctor. If you're talking several wet spots on the bed and not the entire area where you were laying, then it's quite possible that it's just the wetness from your arousal.

If you're having to change sheets because the mattress is soaked, then I'd definitely see your doctor. Most likely, if you're having bladder problems during sex, you'd probably be having them whenever you cough or sneeze as well.

Good, hot, steamy sex can make a woman really dripping wet and it's nice that you're experiencing that now, instead of faking it. Sex certainly isn't neat and clean like they portray it to be on the soap operas! (What a surprise to a virgin on her honeymoon!) All that fun and excitement sometimes seems like a mess when it's all over, and us women get the worst of it, but it's always well worth it. Enjoy your newly discovered life with your blessed husband.

Congrats! You're a gusher. It's called having an abundance of come and (pun intended) it's going to come out. I remember my first girl. She was heavier than you and she would only gush if I wasn't in the room. Made me kinda jealous, but I realized that if she got her orgasm highs whether I was there or not made it easier for me.

Your orgasms just are more than the average. The average female doesn't have a large flow unless she knows how to do it. It literally takes some to train themselves on how to let it all go. And yes, it will feel like you have to pee...it does come from almost the same place. Other than that, if you WERE to pee, you would immediately know the difference based on where the liquid is coming from.

Many gastric bypass patients experience a more fulfilling
sex life after their surgery and subsequent weight loss.
As far as your orgasms go, if you faked it all those times with your husband before - you sure don't want to tell your husband that now or he will take it VERY personally and doubt his ability and your truthfulness in the relationship you've had with him.

You do need to explain to him that there are different types of orgasms that a woman has. A clitoral orgasm won't necessarily cause you to squirt. Some women push so hard during sex and have weak bladders causing them to urinate - which is not the same as releasing fluids or squirting when their G-Spot is stimulated to orgasm. If there's any question about which one you're doing - be sure to use the restroom right before sex so that you know your bladder is completely empty.

Explain to your husband that just because you don't get the bed wet every time, it doesn't mean that you haven't had a great encounter or an orgasm. Your body is changing shape and going through many internal changes as well.
Communication is the key here. Tell him what you're feeling and relearn sex with your healthier body as a team.
